Job Title Office Manager Location Petoskey, MI About Us We are a well-established, high-volume franchised dealership in Northern Michigan with a strong reputation for professional customer care and disciplined operational execution. Our accounting and office operations are built on clean processes, strong internal controls, and consistent follow-through. Position Overview We're hiring an Office Manager to lead dealership accounting administration and office operations. This role oversees daily accounting workflows, supports month-end close, and ensures accurate, timely processing across payables, receivables, deal accounting support, and compliance-related documentation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong dealership accounting knowledge who can drive organization, accountability, and consistency. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day office and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing Supervise and develop accounting/office staff; assign workloads and maintain accountability Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, approvals, and controls Support deal posting, funding coordination, and schedule reconciliation to maintain clean accounting Manage office procedures, documentation standards, and internal controls (cash handling, deposits, receivables) Assist with payroll administration and timekeeping processes as applicable Prepare and maintain reconciliations and schedules (bank, floorplan support, clearing accounts, aging) Support month-end close through reporting, reconciliations, journal entry support, and variance review Coordinate with department leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency Maintain compliance with dealership policies, audit standards, and applicable requirements Qualifications 3+ years of dealership office/accounting experience required Prior Office Manager or supervisory experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of dealership accounting workflows and controls (AP/AR, deal posting support, schedules) Proficiency with dealership DMS and accounting processes (experience with major DMS platforms preferred) Strong Excel and reporting skills; highly detail-oriented Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment Professional communication style with the ability to work cross-functionally High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial and personnel information Why Join Us Stable, professional dealership environment with strong leadership support Opportunity to lead a team and improve process consistency and operational performance High-impact role with visibility across departments and direct influence on results Long-term growth opportunity for a proven dealership accounting leader Benefits Competitive compensation package Medical, dental, and vision coverage options 401(k) retirement plan options Paid time off and paid holidays Employee discounts and dealership perks Ongoing training and professional development How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief overview of your dealership accounting and office leadership experience through the platform where you found this posting.
