Job Description

Office Manager 8047 Church Street, Richland, MI 49083 $17,000 a year - Part-time $17,000 a year - Part-time Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Part-Time Office Manager to organize and manage administrative functions and processes to maintain an efficient and smooth running office. The people served include the Pastor, church members, committees, visitors, community groups, the community, and Presbytery. As the point of contact for the congregation and staff, this individual will demonstrate a welcoming and positive attitude when greeting people coming into the Church and support the values and ministries of the Church. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Pastor, staff and committees and recommend actions to support the Church's mission. On a weekly basis, draw from the master database to populate the different weekly publications including the Church Bulletin; and on a monthly basis, create the Missive Newsletter and update the Church website and Facebook. Prepare and distribute reports (including Missive Newsletter and Annual Report); compose and distribute communications, many of which are confidential, to appropriate parties; respond to or route telephone and email communications to appropriate parties. Assemble updates and revise lists and records of people, finances and projects. Provide a working Google Calendar, by scheduling activities of all internal and external groups that are using church facilities. Schedule work of service personnel and help keep the sanctuary ready for use. Order and stock office supplies; manage and distribute keys. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot office equipment. Experience Proficient with using a variety of computer programs including Google Workspace, Trello, and Canva. Three or more years experience in an office-team setting in a similar role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, vendors, and multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of Presbyterian polity or willingness to acquire knowledge.
