Marketing is one of the fastest-growing software and marketing companies in the Twin Cities. We built a platform DOPE 360, that allows local businesses to automate direct mail, print, and gifting from a single interface.We handle everything in-house:
software, data, design, printing, and delivery. We started in home services, including roofers, HVAC companies, painters, and real estate agents,and that remains our core. We are actively expanding into new verticals including dental, restaurants, veterinary, fitness, and other local business categories. The market is wide open and we are moving fast.THE ROLE
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Direct Mail Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for seasoned sales professionals to leverage their expertise in B2B sales, marketing, and technology solutions to drive business growth. Initially based in-office, the position provides the flexibility of hybrid work after six months, fostering a balanced and productive work environment. As a key player in our sales force, you will develop strategic client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and lead initiatives that elevate our direct mail services to new heights. Direct mail is still the highest-ROI channel for home service owners (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping).The problem:
the traditional way of buying it is broken. Print shops operate like it's 1995. We've automated the entire flow-data sourcing, design, printing, mail prep, postage-into a platform. Your job is to sell campaigns to owners who are tired of wasting money on ads that do not work for them. You price them. You structure them. You close them. You keep a piece of every dollar you generate.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Engage in proactive warm calling to prospective clients, establishing rapport and uncovering their marketing needs. Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company goals. Drive business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new B2B sales opportunities within target markets. Outbound outreach to contractors (HVAC, roofing, plumbing) with company data, service area, and job volume already in front of you. These are warm conversations, not cold calls.Qualifying each account:
understanding their business, their history with direct mail (if any), and the right next step Sell EDDM campaigns and postcard packages Own the margin: You work with ops to lock costs, you price for profit, and you recommend the package. You control the economics of each deal.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience in B2B sales, with a focus on direct mail, marketing, or technology solutions preferred. Strong negotiation skills combined with a strategic approach to business development. 5+ years selling direct mail campaigns or print services to contractors, agencies, or franchises is preferred.You understand the unit economics:
list costs, print costs, postage, and how they affect the customer's margin. You read a business in one conversation and infer their geography, job volume, and why previous marketing failed. You're comfortable with variable pricing and owning the margin math. No approval chains needed. You want upside over base. You're not looking for a $120K guaranteed number - you want to keep what you make. You bring your own contacts to the table. We will provide leads as well, but want you to show up with some quick wins. This Is NOT The Role If You need a detailed playbook and weekly coaching. You figure things out and own it. You want a $120K guaranteed all-in number. We compete on upside, not base salary. You think direct mail is dying. It's the highest-ROI channel for home service owners. You need manager approval for every decision. We're lean. You have autonomy. With that comes accountability.COMPENSATION
Base Salary:
$60,000 - $90,000 per yearUncapped Commission:
$30,000+ per year ( depending on your performance)Total On-Target Earnings:
