The company welcomes over 150,000 young people and their families annually through its production, education, and outreach programs.POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Education Registrar and Box Office Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience for both our audience members and students. This position is responsible for overseeing and executing the registration process for STC Education programs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a positive experience for all participants. In addition, the role manages the day-to-day operations of the Box Office, leading a high-performing ticketing operation. A successful Registrar/Supervisor ensures seamless box office and registration processes, inspires and supports staff, and addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Key areas of leadership and responsibility Direct and carry out the registration process for STC Education programs, including confirmations, refunds, cancellations, creating class rosters, and maintaining accurate student records. Serve as the primary liaison and contact person for students and families: communicate class policies, answer questions, resolve concerns, and develop positive relationships with STC families. Support the Teaching Artists and Education staff as needed to administer classes and ensure a positive experience for our students. Manage the daily operations of the Box Office including ticketing, exchanges/refunds, cash control and reporting. Process sales online, on the phone and in person for all STC programming; identify and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Serve as a STC Tessitura Power User; develop strong knowledge of the functionality of our ticketing system and be responsible for the integrity of the database. Train, lead, and supervise Box Office employees. Lead the building of educational programs in Tessitura. Support the Director of Audience Services with building the production season in Tessitura. Provide support for group sales management and order processing. Develop and maintain the documentation and communication of Front of House procedures, Tessitura procedures, special offers, and training tools. Ideal candidates' qualifications and experience Passionate about our mission, vision, and values, with a strong desire to be an active advocate for STC in the community. Two plus years box office or sales experience. Excellent communication, customer service and relationship building skills. Solid work ethic with superior attention to detail.Continuous improvement mindset:
values new ideas and opportunities to improve. Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams in a shared office environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Experience with ticketing systems; Tessitura experience a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 4-year degree in management, communications, or arts related field or equivalent customer service/management experience.COMPENSATION
