Position:
Office Manager School:
Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities is a K-8 public charter school located in Richfield, Minnesota. A school office manager provides administrative and secretarial support for a school, overseeing daily office operations, managing student attendance and records, handling inquiries and correspondence, coordinating school events, and assisting the principal and other staff. Key responsibilities include managing the office budget and supplies, ensuring confidentiality, acting as a liaison between the school and external parties, and supervising office personnel.Roles and Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Oversee and manage office staff: work load, schedules, etc.Student & Record Management:
Monitor student attendance, maintain student cumulative and health records, and manage school rosters and enrollment data.Office Operations:
Answer phones, manage mail, order office supplies and equipment, and maintain the general appearance of the office.Liaison & Communication:
Serve as a key information resource for students, parents, teachers, and visitors.Financial Management:
Manage the office budget, track financial transactions, process invoices, and record income from donations and other sources.Confidentiality:
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all school operations, particularly concerning student and personnel records. Required Skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse groups. Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive documents. Proficiency with office equipment, including computers, copiers, and communication systems. Problem-solving abilities to handle issues and create action plans.Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma, preference to candidates with additional education. Strong technology skills Strong communication skills. Willingness to work with students, staff and families with unique backgrounds and skillsApplication Instructions:
