Job Description

Overview The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills , strong organizational abilities , and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently . This role requires someone who can prioritize responsibilities , meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all work. Candidates must be self‑motivated , able to work independently , and consistently take initiative to identify and address needs without supervision. Duties Answer the telephone in a professional manner as well as greet and handle all walk-ins Collect mail Create, print and fold weekly bullentin Assemble articles and create the Newsletter each month Maintain all office files Maintain church calendar Maintain church website Maintain announcements on electronic outdoor sign Issue building request forms Ordering supplies Post all expenses throughout the month to the appropriate accounts Prepare payroll Maintain check register for two accounts Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial data prepare financial reports for the monthly board meetings Prepare and submit quarterly state and federal tax reports Skills Maintain organized records of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Skills Strong understanding of non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards Experience with double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Knowledge of financial concepts such as account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet management Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and accounts payable/receivable management Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing speed for data entry accuracy Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data confidently Knowledge in excel, PowerPoint, Word and Church Windows (knowledge is a plus but on the job training available) The role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to our organization's success through meticulous financial management and dependable administrative support.
