Job Description

Description:
The position will serve as the primary management assistant to the Executive Director of Student Activities & Campus Involvement. Position will administer and manage the business and financial affairs of the Office of Student Activities. Position will assist in managing and reporting for 10 budgets as well as assisting with procurement card and travel card reconciliation, student worker payroll, purchasing, inventory control, tax fringe benefit reports and other closely related work.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Office of Student Activities oversees the development and organization of the university's primary extra-curricular programs. These areas include Student Government, Campus Programs, the Fraternity & Sorority system and Club & Organizations, as well as university wide events such as Homecoming & other large-scale events.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
  • Ability to utilize discretion in the workplace and stay objective while interacting with their supervisor, Office of Student Activities staff, students, and NC A&T State University faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • General knowledge of the principles and practices of developing and implementing campus programs.
  • Ability to stay focused, be a self-starter, possess exemplary time management and organizational skills, take responsibility for task management.
  • Ability to serve a diverse population in a courteous manner.
