Join The Montessori Children's School of Jacksonville, NC, and make a difference! At The Montessori Children's School, we believe every child is a unique individual with their own style of learning. We are seeking a Front Office Administrator to provide vital administrative and operational support. This full-time role is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is an integral part of our school community. Description Position Summary The Front Office Administrator serves as a key liaison between the school administration, families, staff, and the local community. You'll be responsible for ensuring that students, parents, staff, and guests experience the highest level of support while preserving the Montessori philosophy. Essential Responsibilities Greet visitors, answer phones, and manage inquiries with professionalism. Maintain student attendance, enrollment, and central files with accuracy and confidentiality. Update and manage the school-wide calendar, website, and social media channels. Support the enrollment and withdrawal process, maintaining detailed records. Assist the Head of School and Business Manager with administrative tasks. Manage inventory and office supplies; oversee office equipment maintenance. Coordinate vendor communications for facility maintenance and track contractor work. Plan and prepare for school events and meetings. Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree in a related field. Minimum of two years' experience in office administration, ideally in a school or nonprofit setting. Completion of background checks, health assessments, and safety training. Skills & Attributes Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new technology. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with website and social media management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. A collaborative team player with a professional and approachable demeanor. Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and excellence. Flexible and solution-focused, capable of managing multiple priorities. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role includes: Regular sitting, standing, walking, and occasional outdoor duties. Operating office equipment and performing administrative tasks. Working primarily in a temperature-controlled environment with a moderately quiet noise level.
