Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Office Manager to join our dynamic team! This is a supervisory position responsible for coordinating all administrative functions at a Garden & Landscaping Center, including customer service, office support, and human resources. The Garden & Landscaping Center Assistant Manager oversees payroll processing, ensures all licenses are up to date, handles customer complaints, supervises administrative staff, and maintains compliance with safety and HR policies, all while providing excellent customer service and supporting business operations. Duties Ensures compliance with company policies and SOPs. Supports accounting (QuickBooks, AR/AP, payroll, invoices). Handles IT issues and prepares tax items for the accountant. Manages insurance, employee files, medical benefits, and vendor relationships. Assists with strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental training goals. Oversees administrative functions, dispatches maintenance crews, and manages customer complaints. Maintains schedules, job-cost reports, and conducts new employee orientation. Purchases and manages office supplies, analyzes internal processes, and implements improvements. Supports safety programs, processes job contracts, and renews licenses (e.g., contractor, pesticide). Coordinates customer support, operations support, and fleet management. Supervises, hires, coaches, disciplines, and evaluates staff. Assists with facilities management, purchasing, business development, and shop operations. Maintains phone systems and performs general administrative tasks. Works with company software, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment. Provides excellent, timely service to clients and staff.

Qualifications:
At least 2 years of professional experience in administrative support, office management, and organizational procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, phone use, computer work, standing, bending, lifting to 25 pounds, and normal vision/hearing abilities.
Special Notes, Licenses, and Certifications:
Must sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements before starting. Valid driver's license required; may need to use personal vehicle. Fluent English required. Work is mainly in an office environment. Must have a reputation for honesty and may undergo background/drug checks. Three-month introductory period for new hires.
