Job Description

Job Summary The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily front desk operations and ensuring exceptional guest service. This role provides leadership and support to front desk associates, assists with training and scheduling, resolves guest concerns, and helps maintain Marriott brand standards. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-focused professional with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Supervise front desk staff during assigned shifts and ensure smooth daily operations Deliver outstanding guest service and create a welcoming environment for all guests Assist with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, room assignments, and guest inquiries Handle guest complaints and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently Train, coach, and mentor front desk associates on service standards, policies, and procedures Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures Review daily reports, room availability, arrivals, departures, and occupancy forecasts Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs Assist with scheduling, payroll review, and shift coverage as needed Maintain accurate cash handling, billing, and financial reporting procedures Support management in achieving guest satisfaction and revenue goals Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1-2 years of hotel front desk experience Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office Preferred Experience with Marriott systems such as FOSSE or MARSHA. Hospitality degree or related coursework. Knowledge of Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program standards.
