Job Description

We are in search of a motivated, knowledgeable and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The Controller/Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting, financial, and payroll reporting tasks, as well as assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent 2-4 years experience in all aspects of accounting Flexible Schedule (days/nights, weekends, and holidays) Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines Excellent time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Knowledge of tax and payroll compliance; Self-starter, excited to learn about our business and be part of a strong Accounting and Finance team Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) Must be proficient in Quickbooks Online Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, in a fast-paced and high-volume environment Entertainment industry experience (highly preferred) Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms Detail oriented
Responsibilities:
Month-end close process Balance sheet maintenance Forecasting Payroll & benefit management Daily Revenue reconciliation Accounts payable Cash management and procedures Operational management support Tax and license maintenance Manage company/project cash flow Perform financial analysis and budgets/forecasts Daily interaction with clients, including owners and client staff Daily interaction with internal transactional team members Oversee accounts payable, including approvals, coding, input and review for accuracy and correctness. Match invoices to purchase orders/reciepts Responsible for daily sales and cash reconciliation. Research and explain any variance Ensure accuracy of all reports Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records Coordinate annual tax return preparation with outside CPA Oversee audits and regulatory reports Recognize, identify and execute profit enhancement opportunities Special projects, as required
