Job Description

Insurance defense law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Office Manager to support attorneys in a fast-paced civil litigation practice and to support daily operations. Responsibilities include administrative office support, calendaring, document management, client and vendor communications, file organization, and assisting attorneys and staff with litigation-related tasks. provide office management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience handling litigation deadlines, court filings, discovery, and client communications. Prior experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or personal injury defense is strongly preferred. Responsibilities The Legal Assistant/Office Management will be responsible for: Supporting attorneys with insurance defense and civil litigation matters Overseeing day to day operations Preparing, proofreading, and formatting pleadings, correspondence, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents Filing documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing Calendaring court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates Managing attorney calendars and case deadlines Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical case files Assisting with discovery responses, document production, and medical record organization Communicating professionally with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, courts, vendors, and experts Scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings Tracking case status and assisting attorneys with trial preparation Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: Minimum 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience Some Office Management experience Insurance defense experience strongly preferred Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules Experience with e-filing and litigation calendaring Compensation and Benefits Competitive Salary Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off 401(k) or retirement plan Paid holidays Professional and supportive work environment
