Job Title:
Office Manager & Bookkeeper Job Description:
Northminster Presbyterian Church is looking for a capable, efficient, and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
Position Hours:
Part-time
  • 12-15 hours/week. Days of the week negotiable Position salary: Starting at $18.00/hour, dependent on education and experience Office Manager duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Answering the phone and doorbell in a timely manner
  • Open and disburse mail, check email and phone messages, return phone calls (as needed)
  • Keep and update church calendar as often as needed and coordinate church activities
  • Update and print Weekly Announcements and Bulletins; create and publish monthly newsletter
  • Create and update worship PowerPoint
  • Maintain church database and website
  • Order office and church supplies, as needed
  • Create and disburse annual report Bookkeeper duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Count weekly offering with Financial Treasurer, enter contributions in Church Windows, print reports
  • Check PayPal weekly for online deposits-enter in Church Windows
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank checking account statement
  • Maintain church payroll. Process payroll checks every 2 weeks.
  • Process and pay invoices as needed
  • Pay monthly/quarterly taxes for 941, state, and city
  • Worker's Compensation True-Up Report each year
  • Year-end close out General Journal entry after Session approves year-end statements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates' Degree in accounting preferred or equivilent experience
  • Experience with Church Windows ( or similar program) preferred
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a people-oriented individual
  • Must be well-organized and reliable
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
