Job Description

In this leadership role you will lead the day-to-day operations of the senior living community to ensure the highest quality of hospitality and resident satisfaction.

Job DescriptionResponsible for all daily and monthly accounts receivable, including but not limited to:

Billing and collections of all Medicaid, Medicare, HMO, Veterans Administration, and private pay accountsMaintains all resident files, ensuring financial and resident information is kept confidentialMaintains and records notes in collection log and in billing computer systems on all past due balancesEnsures compliance with company collection policies by issuing delinquent notices and forwarding past-due accounts to the collection agency in accordance with established proceduresEnsure timely and accurate resident financial records and trust fund managementData entry of resident information into billing computer software upon admission and dischargeMaintains and records daily census - admissions and discharges, payer changes, and room changes - ensuring proper documentation is made into billing computer systemResponsible for preparing daily bank deposits and daily cash posting of resident accounts into billing computer softwareProcess resident rate increases letters as directed by corporate teamWork closely with admissions, nursing, and corporate team to ensure smooth operationsPerform insurance verifications to analyze eligibility and benefit/copay information related to current and discharged admissionsResponsible for all accounts receivable outcomes by maintaining DSO that is within the goals of companyAssists in answering general resident, family, and vendor questions in a timely mannerResponsible for all month-end close procedures and deadlines as directed by corporate teamMaintain compliance with all federal, state, and company financial policiesUtilizes Point Click Care, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other computer/systems to ensure accurate work is completed in an organized, timely, and professional mannerDevelops and maintains expert knowledge of Point Click Care computer System and keeps current with updatesParticipates in manager on duty program.

Attends various community eventsAttends all required training, in-service, and staff meetingsAdheres to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle CorporationRespect and maintain confidentiality of the office, its records and restricted informationMaintains a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practicesPerforms other duties as assigned.
QualificationsLevel of Formal Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or two years of experience as a business office manager in senior living skilled care preferred.

Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with all others.
Technical Competencies:
Possesses working knowledge and ability to navigate company systems including, but not limited to: Yardi, PCC, ADP, TELS, and DSSI.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing in a long-term skilled nursing communityEfficient time-management skills.

Working knowledge of accounting principlesAbility to prioritize based on deliverables

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, and OutlookPersonal Attributes:
Communicates and interacts professionally with all levels within the organization, residents, and resident responsible parties.
