Job Description

Job Overview Barrow-Civic Theatre is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and collaborative Office Administrator to support the daily operations of our historic nonprofit community theatre. This full-time position combines office administration, bookkeeping, customer service, and production support in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and passionate about supporting the arts and community engagement. Responsibilities Office Administration Answer and manage office phone communications Greet and assist theatre patrons, volunteers, and visitors Assist with general office operations and clerical duties Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail Support theatre staff, volunteers, and production teams as needed Assist with front-of-house operations during performances and events, as needed Support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and community engagement activities Bookkeeping & Financial Operations Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Process deposits, invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Reconcile box office and daily sales reports Monitor cash flow and financial tracking Process payroll and payroll tax reporting Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations and Finance Committee Qualifications Experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or nonprofit operations preferred Working knowledge of QuickBooks required Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Proficiency in Google Workspace Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Theatre or arts organization experience is a plus
Pay:
$38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
