Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Business Office Manager to oversee administrative and financial operations within a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare administration. As the Business Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing billing, accounts receivable and payable, compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering efficient office workflows to support the overall mission of providing quality resident care. Duties Oversee all financial functions including billing, collections, accounts payable, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, and internal policies related to financial operations. Manage resident accounts, ensuring accurate billing and prompt resolution of discrepancies or inquiries. Supervise administrative staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to promote a cohesive team environment. Develop and implement office procedures that optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality. Collaborate with clinical staff and management to ensure seamless communication regarding resident services and financial matters. Monitor financial reports regularly to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for process improvement. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. Skills Proven experience in healthcare administration or business office management within a long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of billing systems, insurance processes, and regulatory compliance related to healthcare finance. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, and external agencies. Leadership ability to supervise staff efficiently while fostering a positive work environment. Proficiency in office management software such as electronic health records (EHR), accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial documentation and reporting.
