Charleston, SC Type of Construction/Work they perform: Residential & Commercial Concrete & Masonry Job Overview Southern Site and Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Office Manager to support our residential and commercial construction operations in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is critical to keeping our office, financial systems, and project teams running efficiently. The ideal candidate brings construction bookkeeping experience, strong administrative skills, and the professionalism required to support a fast paced, client-focused construction firm. This position combines bookkeeping, payroll support, and office administration, requiring discretion and accuracy. Who We Are Southern Site & Foundation is a commercial & residential concrete/masonry contractor that completes work for general contractors local to Charleston. We have many long-standing relationships with local GCs and as a result almost all our work is repeat or based off referral. We also have multiple good standing relationships with local vendors that we utilize on each one of our projects. As a result of these relationships, a trusting and transparent form of communication has been established within the business and with our trade partners. We are a smaller-sized company but still have the capabilities and knowledge to take on the larger projects in our area. Office Manager/Admin Responsibilities Manage payroll and electronically logged time sheets for our hourly employees Log/keep track of company financials in Quickbooks Manage accounts receivable/accounts payable File vendor receipts/invoices into the appropriate folders Help track status of weekly pay apps Maintain new hire documentation, employee handbooks, and internal policies Print plans for projects on our office plotting machine Order miscellaneous items for company at any given time (shirts, business cards, promotional items, office supplies, etc.) Process invoices, purchase orders, and client billing Print and organize check runs and manage bill due dates Maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and W9s for vendors and subcontractors Maintain detailed notes and documentation Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping experience within a construction company 2+ years of office administration experience in construction, real estate, or property management Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy Proficiency in QuickBooks (construction accounting experience required) Working knowledge of a construction project management software, we recently started using eSUB software Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Associate's degree is a plus Certified Bookkeeper is a plus English & Spanish (bilingual) is a plus Compensation & Benefits $25 - $30.00+ per hour Bi-weekly pay cycle Paid Time Off (holidays, vacation, sick time) Paid training and certifications Stable, professional work environment with long-term growth opportunity Work Schedule Monday - Friday Approximately 20-40 hours per week, depending on business needs, plenty of room for more opportunity as seen fit On-site position, could turn into a hybrid role once established/trusted within the business Work Location Charleston, South Carolina In-office role supporting local residential and commercial construction projects Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
