Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Office Manager to support and guide our daily administrative operations. Tubular Steel USA is a welded steel tube manufacturer serving the automotive industry, operating with lean processes and a strong reliance on computers and data. In this hands-on role, you will oversee office management, coordinate purchasing activities, and provide basic IT support that keeps our plant running smoothly. This is an operations-focused position—not an executive or HR role—and offers the opportunity to manage diverse responsibilities while contributing to an efficient, productive work environment. What you'll do
  • Run the front office: phones, visitors, mail, supplies, and basic organization
  • Handle admin support
  • Create and track purchase orders for office, production, and indirect plant needs
  • Get quotes, follow up with vendors, track deliveries, and resolve shortages or billing issues
  • Be the go-to person for basic IT help: o PCs, printers, scanners, email, Microsoft 365, shared drives, etc. o Order and track computers, phones, and other equipment
  • Keep simple records: vendor lists, purchasing files, device lists, and standard work instructions
  • Help pull reports, update shared files, and support plant systems as needed What we're looking for
  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems
  • Organized, reliable, and not afraid to follow up or ask questions
  • Experience in an office, operations, purchasing, or admin role (manufacturing a plus)
  • Someone who likes fixing problems, improving how things work, and being useful every day
  • High trust and discretion (invoices, vendor pricing, etc.)
  • Must live within a 50 mile radius of the plant.
  • Candidates must complete and pass a computer skills test as part of the hiring process. Work setup
  • On-site role in a manufacturing plant
  • Reports to the General Manager
  • Regular interaction with leadership, maintenance, and production teams This role is ideal for someone who is tech‑savvy, motivated, and eager to grow into a broader operations or systems‑focused position over time.
