Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Business Office Manager to join our healthcare administration team. In this vital role, you will support the management of daily medical office operations, ensuring smooth financial processes, accurate medical coding, and efficient patient billing. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycle management while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing medical billing and coding processes, ensuring accuracy in DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding standards. Support the preparation and review of medical records and documentation for billing and insurance claims. Collaborate with clinical staff to verify proper documentation for procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. Manage medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving billing discrepancies. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to input, retrieve, and organize patient information efficiently. Help ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to medical coding, billing, and records management. Assist in training staff on medical terminology, coding updates, and billing procedures to promote accuracy and efficiency. Skills Strong knowledge of medical coding including
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 standards, and their application in healthcare settings. Experience with medical billing processes and medical collection strategies. Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems for managing electronic health records. Excellent understanding of medical terminology and medical records management. Ability to interpret insurance policies and assist with claims processing. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating with clinical staff, insurance companies, and patients. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
