Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Business Office Manager to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support the efficient operation of the business office administrative and billing functions. Your expertise will help ensure accurate medicaid applications, billing, and record management, contributing to seamless patient experiences and optimal revenue cycle management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in medicaid pending applications, billing, and office administration will make a meaningful impact. Duties Assist in managing daily business office operations, including patient billing, collections, and insurance claims processing Review and ensure accuracy of medical records, including documentation related to DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnoses codes Work up and submit Medicaid applications with the families and residents, work closing with HHSC to get applications submitted timely. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate accurate documentation for medical billing and reimbursement purposes Conduct medical collections activities by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving billing discrepancies Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting with a focus on billing, coding, or administrative support Experience in Medicaid applications preferred Strong knowledge of
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical terminology Familiarity with medical records management and healthcare documentation standards Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and retrieval Ability to perform accurate medical coding for insurance claims processing and reimbursement Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling sensitive patient information Knowledge of medical collections processes and insurance claim proceduresJoin us as an Assistant Business Office Manager to be a key player in delivering exceptional healthcare administration. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
