The Bookkeeper / Office Administrator is responsible for managing daily financial transactions and overseeing general office operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and organization. This role combines accounting responsibilities with administrative leadership to support smooth business operations. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping Duties Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable Record daily transactions in accounting software Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on past-due accounts Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare financial reports (profit & loss statements, balance sheets) Work with accountants or auditors as needed Office Administrative Duties Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships Coordinate schedules, meetings, and office communications Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital) Assist with HR-related tasks such as onboarding, time tracking, and employee records Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or office management experience Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online) Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong communication and problem-solving skills
