Job Description

ASSISTANT BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER
(ABOM) We are seeking a friendly, customer service oriented Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) to join our team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities in the facility.
  • Process Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Hospice, Private Insurance claims by the 5th of each month.
  • Participate actively in assuring all new admissions meet appropriate financial criteria and authorizations of services.
  • Ensures integrity and confidentiality of all resident financial data.
  • Make sure Facility Census record keeping is properly maintained and balanced daily.
  • Make sure all Private, Semi-Private and Applied Income monies are collected by the 5th of each month.
  • Reconcile all accounts using the appropriate worksheets, accounting software, and assure that all accounts are kept current.
  • Facilitate and coordinate with the Administrator the tracking of Medicaid applications and annual renewals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly aging reviews with the Administrator.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or relevant qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
