The Role:
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office leadership team in ensuring smooth daily operations while upholding the Hyatt standard of excellence, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects the warmth and sophistication of a luxury hospitality experience.
Qualifications
What You'll Do
Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office department, including Front Desk, Guest Services, lobby operations, and guest arrival experiences
Lead by example in delivering warm, personalized, and luxury-focused guest service
Support and supervise Front Office colleagues to ensure consistent service standards and operational excellence
Assist with scheduling, payroll support, departmentalanization, and labor management
Manage guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently
Recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training, and performance development of Front Office team members
Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
Assist with room inventory management, VIP arrivals, group coordination, and operational planning
Monitor daily arrivals, departures, occupancy, and guest preferences to ensure preparedness across the operation
Ensure adnce to hotel policies, procedures, cash handling, and safety standards
Act as Manager on Duty as assigned and provide operational leadership in the absence of senior management
Maintain a visible and engaged presence within the lobby and guest areas to support both guests and colleagues
What You'll Bring
A passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
Previous 1-2 years of leadership experience within Front Office, preferably within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment Strong operational knowledge of Front Desk, Guest Services, and hotel systems
Professional, polished, and confidentmunication skills
Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-focused approach
Proven ability to manage guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
Excellentanizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and service-focused in a fast-paced environment
Experience with hotel property management systems applications
Flexible availability including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required
