Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager & Human Resources professional to lead and oversee the administrative, financial, and human resources functions within our healthcare practice. This pivotal role combines office management with HR leadership, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with healthcare regulations, and a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in medical office management, fiscal oversight, and human resources to support our team's success and deliver exceptional patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational excellence while fostering a collaborative and compliant workplace. Duties Manage daily administrative operations of the medical or dental office, including scheduling, patient records, billing, and front desk functions. Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and expense control using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix. Supervise staff including medical administrative support personnel, clinical assistants, and other office staff to ensure high performance and compliance with healthcare standards. Lead human resources functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance evaluations, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure adherence to healthcare management protocols including JCAHO standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and managed care requirements. Coordinate with clinical teams to optimize practice management workflows in acute care settings or specialty clinics like dental or veterinary practices. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to medical records management and confidentiality. Oversee office supplies procurement, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance to promote an efficient working environment. Implement policies for utilization management and ensure proper documentation within EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Epic for seamless patient care delivery. Facilitate staff training on new healthcare software systems such as Eaglesoft or Practice Management software to improve operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within clinics specializing in acute care or dental services. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Extensive knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing procedures, and revenue cycle management. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft; experience with hospital or managed care settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, utilization management protocols, and medical terminology. Prior experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR compliance in a healthcare setting. Ability to navigate complex medical administrative workflows involving insurance billing (managed care), medical records handling, and clinic operations. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as veterinary clinics or hospital settings is a plus.
