Job Description

Our central Salt Lake City office is seeing an Office Manager. The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating office administration and daily operational procedures to ensure organizational efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company standards. This role supports office operations by managing administrative processes, coordinating schedules and communications, maintaining vendor and office relationships, and ensuring that office systems and procedures operate effectively. The Office Manager handles a wide range of administrative and operational support responsibilities while working independently with minimal supervision. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting both employees and leadership teams. Triple S Steel offers weekly pay, a good selections of benefits as well as profit sharing and tuition reimbursement. We our open M-F with weekends off. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. Responsibilities Manage office layout, equipment procurement, and systems to support operational effectiveness. Serve as the primary point of contact for office operations, including facilities, maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, billing, and administrative support. Coordinate day-to-day office operations in close partnership with Operations to ensure efficient workflow and alignment with business needs. Oversee relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlord; manage contracts, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely invoicing and payments. Partner with IT to maintain and resolve office equipment and technology needs. • Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including load paperwork and scheduling support. Process and manage billing documentation (MTRs, BOLs, manifests, IPs/MPOs, truck scheduling, etc.). Manage vendor purchase orders and resolve shipping or documentation discrepancies. Develop, implement, and maintain office policies, procedures, and standards in partnership with HR and Operations leadership. Monitor adherence to policies and ensure compliance with operational, safety, and administrative requirements. Track and maintain inventory, maintenance, and operational records to support business continuity and reporting needs. Design, implement, and maintain filing and records retention systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, confidentiality, and data integrity. Analyze internal workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency. Prepare operational reports, schedules, and updates to keep leadership informed and support decision-making. Provide direction, guidance, and performance oversight to direct reports; assign tasks and monitor accountability. Allocate resources effectively to support team productivity and operational priorities. Support onboarding, orientation, and training of new staff members. Foster positive internal staff relations and a collaborative work environment in alignment with Operations. Provide operational and administrative support to sales, shipping, customers, and leadership at the branch level. • Support special projects, research, and analysis; track trends and provide actionable insights to management. Participate in planning and execution of company events and initiatives. Provide professional support to visitors and respond to customer inquiries and concerns. Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment at all times. Qualifications Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficient in MS Office Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures • Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures • Knowledge of business and management principles Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.
