Job Description

Our Lexington office has an opening for an Office Manager who is looking to further develop his/her career with a company that is deeply rooted and widely experienced. Job duties include managing and/or doing all aspects of a small business: agency submittals, bookkeeping, timekeeping, receptionist for walk-in clients and phone calls, filing, typing/formatting proposals and correspondence, website maintenance, social media and general marketing, pursuing RFPs, HR, deliveries, monitoring office and field supplies inventory and vehicle maintenance records, backup for the Lynchburg office, and general support for engineers and land surveyors. You don't need to speak their language, but it helps! Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, experience with Microsoft Office suite required, knowledge of Ajera helpful.

Perkins & Orrison, Inc. has been providing Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Land Planning services throughout central and southwest Virginia since 1999. Our offices in Lexington, VA and Lynchburg, VA are staffed by 26 employees experienced in a wide variety of surveying and site engineering projects, including three licensed Professional Engineers and three licensed Land Surveyors. We are big enough to provide timely and expert service on large and complicated projects and small enough to provide attention to detail on the least of survey tasks.
