Job Description
Position Overview The Office Administrator supports the daily operations of the Snohomish Community Food Bank by assisting with administrative tasks, managing phone and email communications, contributing to the organization's social media presence, and overseeing the logistics of the Express Shop Locker program, as well as assisting with other programs and events. As the first point of contact for clients, donors, and community members, this role plays a vital part in shaping a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive experience for all. The position requires compassion, empathy, and a deep commitment to treating every individual with dignity, especially those from underserved populations in the Snohomish community. The ideal candidate is passionate about community service and dedicated to fostering a responsive, welcoming environment that connects individuals to critical resources with care and respect. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Office Support Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries in a professional and timely manner Manage organizational calendars and scheduling Monitor and maintain office supply inventory Perform general office administration and clerical tasks Assist with data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping Express Shop Locker Program Support Monitor and manage online client orders for the Express Shop Locker program Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure adequate volunteer staffing for order packing Communicate with clients regarding order status and pickup availability Help support the successful launch, implementation, and ongoing operation of the program Maintain accurate records and assist with troubleshooting client or operational issues as needed Community Engagement & Outreach Support Provide occasional support for planning and execution of community events and fundraisers Support and maintain the organization's social media presence through content posting and basic engagement Assist staff with outreach and event logistics as needed Qualifications Experience working in nonprofit, food access, or community service settings Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Comfortable using email, online ordering systems, and basic office software Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community members Customer service or administrative experience preferred Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus Typical Schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (onsite) Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special community events.
