The Opportunity:
As the Office Manager for the Washington State University (WSU) Chelan County Extension office in Wenatchee, WA, you will be the delegated authority for the daily administrative operations of the office. This includes excising independent judgement and discretion in planning, coordinating, and managing the administrative personnel, business, and fiscal functions of the Chelan County Extension office. You will act as the administrative contact for internal and external constituents, including but not limited to Chelan County Extension Director and personnel, Master Gardener volunteers, Chelan County personnel, the 4-H program, and other state and local constituents. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative, fiscal, personnel, and other duties. You will have supervisory and programmatic reporting responsibilities for Partners in Parenting and Strengthening Families employees and the programs. The duties of this position are carried out with minimal supervision. As a key member of the administrative team, you will collaborate with the County Director in short- and long-term planning for the unit.Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.Monthly Salary:
$3,925 - $5,271 | Range 44 (Steps A-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance withWAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.Benefits:

High school diploma or equivalent AND three years of clerical, office or administrative experience. OR An Associate's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field may substitute for experience. AND One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 2 or two years as an Administrative Assistant 1. OR Equivalent education/experience. Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards. Ability to travel within targeted counties. Ability to work a flexible, yet structured schedule with occasional night and weekend shifts to meet the needs of program partners and grant requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively, with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and social media platforms. Knowledge of WSU University Policies and Procedures in the areas of personnel, finance, and administration. Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent. Experience training and supervising office personnel. Successful grant writing and management experience. Effective management of office and program resources. Experience with/knowledge of WSU Extension and the Land Grant University system.About Department:
