Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our organization as an Accountant, Office Manager, and Controller. This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations, manage office functions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial management, and operational leadership, contributing to the organization's growth and stability. This position is vital for maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining office processes, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounting functions including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements. Oversee financial report writing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational goals. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and monitor cash management activities to optimize liquidity and financial stability. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to maintain accurate financial records and streamline operations. Prepare regulatory reports and ensure timely submission in accordance with governmental and non-profit accounting standards. Supervise office management tasks including administrative support, vendor relations, and maintaining a productive work environment. Lead internal controls related to technical accounting issues, double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes. Support the organization's financial management by analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting roles with a strong understanding of
GAAP, IFRS, SOX
compliance, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis. Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; experience with financial software is essential. Strong knowledge of cash management strategies, payroll processing, regulatory reporting requirements, and technical accounting principles. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for effective decision-making. Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is preferred; familiarity with budgeting and forecasting is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous.
