Job Description

OVERVIEW
Montgomery Pulmonary Consultants is a multi-provider practice that is looking for a full-time Scheduler/ Provider Assistant. As a scheduler, you will be the first point of contact for one of our physicians. Our scheduler's duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome patients that your physician sees, schedule appointments, etc. MPC is an organization that specializes in Internal Medicine and the subspecialty of Pulmonary Medicine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Checking out patients
  • Completing referrals to other offices
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Scheduling procedures
  • Preparing charts for your physicians' clinics
  • Gathering records and referrals for appointments
  • Confirming new patients
  • Working directly with physicians and management to enhance scheduling efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in healthcare administration as a front desk receptionist, scheduler, treatment planner or medical assistant capacity.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills and a Patient Focused mindset.
  • Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Able to travel between the two physician offices as needed.
