Summary of Job Duties:
The Arkansas Union Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and customer service support to ensure the smooth daily operations of the Arkansas Union. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, staff, faculty, campus partners, and visitors while supporting departmental processes including communications, fiscal tasks, office management, and event logistics. This role is pivotal to enhancing workplace culture through strategic efforts and initiatives to better support the Universities' goal of being an employer of choice. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, student-focused environment. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with othersQualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma Experience in administrative support, customer service, office operations, or related fields Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms, and general office managementPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality or related field Experience in a higher education or student union environment Familiarity with university systems (e.g., Workday, Mazevo, departmental budget tools) Experience supporting events, meetings, or office operationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
