Job Description

Tribal and Indian Preference:
The Colorado River Indian Tribes has implemented a Tribal/ CRIT Preference in Employment Policy. Pursuant to this Policy, applicants who possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by this position, and who are enrolled members of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, will be given primary preference in hiring and employment for this position. Tribal preference is integrated into the interview and scoring process for candidates for job positions.
Summary:
Serves as the Administrative Assistance to the Community Health Representatives Manager, which is responsible for the administrative functions of the Community Health Representatives Department. The incumbent is tasked with ensuring timely and accurate functions such as typing, filing, report generation, receptionist and related duties.
Duties & Functions:
1. Works under general direction of the C HR Manager. Utilized extensive communication skills with senior management and across other programs as needed to ensure that all projects, initiatives, directives or other related work is completed in a timely and complete manner as directed by the CHR Manager. 2. Provides quality customer services by welcoming guests by greeting them in person or on the tele phone, answering direct inquires. 3. Providing information to public tactfully and concisely; referring complicated requires to appropriate staff. 4. Maintaining and ordering office supplies and inventory. 5. Coordinate and maintain up-to-date patient filing system for record management. 6. Prepare correspondence, and memorandums, assist in the preparation and publication of annual reports and other reports. 7. Drafts, proofreads and edits documents to ensure accuracy of information, excellent grammar and spelling prior to dissemination to outside programs. 8. Prepares CHR Payment Processing, Gas Card Requests, In and Out of State tribal Requests, etc. 9. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality of all conversations, documents, recording, and any other Patient Information (PI). 10. Maintains officer services by organizing office operations and procedures including payroll, correspondence, filing supplies, as well as general clerical function. 11. Will be responsible for processing large amounts of information collected from CHR Staff and entering program PCC information. 12. Verify correct data and deleting unnecessary data before entering to the
I.H.S. RPMS
System. 13. Enter specific Health Information and attention to detail to ensure accurate information is captured. 14. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the CHR Manager or designee to fulfill the Department's needs, objectives and/or goals. 15. Follow established Tribal policies and those outlined in the Colorado River Indian Tribes Employee Handbook.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be familiar with business office concepts, computer software, accounting, techniques, and professional administrative skills. 2. Possess excellent secretarial, interpersonal communication, word processing, note-taking, file management skills, and attention to detail. 3. Must be computer literate. 4. Know ledge in Microsoft Office, Email, Word, and Excel.
Education & Experience Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or
G.E.D. 2.
Prefer an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in business, accounting, office operations, or related field. 3. Must possess a current valid driver's license throughout employment.
Physical Requirement:
1 . Must pass security background check. 2. Must successfully complete a drug screening test prior to appointment. 3. Physically able to perform duties assigned. 4. Occasionally work extended shifts as assigned.
