In-person, based out of Vita High School — 4302 E Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (and around the Phoenix metro for errands) Reports to: Andrew, Founder & CEO About the Role Andrew, founder of Vita High School (a nonprofit micro high school in South Phoenix), is hiring a hands-on Personal Assistant to handle the practical day-to-day life logistics that come with running a school and building new ventures. This is not a desk job. You'll be on your feet, in your car, on the phone, and at hardware stores, dry cleaners, and UPS counters. The ideal person is highly detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, has a clean driver's license and reliable vehicle, and gets satisfaction from making someone else's life run smoothly. What You'll Do Assemble furniture (IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon flat-pack) Run errands: Amazon/UPS returns, dry cleaning, grocery pickups, hardware store runs Drive Andrew to appointments, meetings, and the airport when needed Pick up and drop off laundry; coordinate with cleaners Make phone calls on Andrew's behalf — vendors, repair people, customer service, appointment scheduling Coordinate home repairs and let service people in (HVAC, hot tub repair, handyman, etc.) Light organization and home setup tasks Track receipts, returns, and small reimbursements Occasionally help at Vita High School events or with school-related errands What We're Looking For Valid AZ driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (required) Lives in the Phoenix metro area Strong attention to detail — you double-check, confirm, and follow through Comfortable being on the phone and advocating politely but firmly Handy enough to assemble furniture and figure things out (YouTube + Google as your first move) Honest, discreet, and trustworthy with personal information and access to home Smartphone with texting, calendar, and basic apps Bonus:
handyman skills, bilingual (Spanish), home organization experience Pay & Logistics $15-$16/hour to start, with raises based on performance Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate when driving for work errands Part-time, hours flex week-to-week (10-20 hrs typical) W-2 employee How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
