SALARY CLASSIFICATION
Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group C $15.78 GENERAL
STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide secretarial services to the high school's counselors; to assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the department; to maintain a high level of confidentiality; and to have a positive working relationship with the administration, parents and staff
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists with filing; Answers telephone; Types correspondence, memos, and files, as required; Sorts mail; Assists with student records and other related activities; Assists with copying requirements; Performs errands and relays messages; Performs other related office and typing tasks as assigned; Prepares purchase requisitions, as assigned; Receives all supplies and equipment for the Counseling Department; Performs other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; Two years of related work experience; Demonstrated proficiency with PC programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher (desired) Ability to communicate and work well with staff, students and the public.
