Auburn Union School District serves the foothill community of Auburn, located 40 miles northeast of Sacramento on the western slope of the California High Sierra. Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week) Auburn Elementary is seeking a dedicated and organized School Office Administrative Assistant to assist with daily front office operations, support school staff, and assist families. This is a full-time, classified position requiring strong data management and communication skills. Two (2) Current Letters of Recommendation (Professional references from recent supervisors or colleagues). The ideal candidate will manage school administrative tasks, handle high-volume data systems, and comfortably interact with a diverse TK-8 student population (including general education, special needs, and bilingual students).
Data & Systems Management:
Strong emphasis on accurate student data tracking, scheduling, and record-keeping utilizing AERIES software. Must be highly proficient with spreadsheets and office documentation tools.
Front Office Reception:
Serve as the primary point of contact by handling front desk reception, answering phone calls, and managing day-to-day clerical tasks to support school administration. Successfully pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprinting background clearance.
Safety & Compliance:
Must possess (or be able to obtain within the first 6 months of hiring) a valid First Aid/CPR certification. Successfully pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprinting background clearance.
