Berkeley, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $27 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description We are looking for an energetic, motivated full-time dental assistant who is open to being cross trained with front office tasks. We strive to provide excellent service and patient experience. We are team-oriented and help each other out through all aspects of the office. A collaborative and communicative environment is the culture of our office. Our business hours are Tuesday - Friday 8-5 pm with a 1-hour lunch. We use Dentrix. Pay is based on experience.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups for dental procedures. Greet and prepare patients for treatment. Ability to take digital dental radiographs; FMX. Digital scanning of patient using iTero. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures. Conduct work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety, and OSHA guidelines. Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of the patient. The record treatment information in patient records - Dentrix. Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service. Assist with other duties as directed. Maintain an appropriate office environment. Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Ideal Requirements:
Current basic life support (CPR) certification. Radiation Safety Certificate (X-ray license). Proof of course completion in Infection Control for Dental. Coronal polishing certificate. Good communication skills. Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.
