Job Description

Company Overview CSA San Diego County is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to advocating for fair housing and addressing critical social issues such as hate crime prevention, civil rights, and youth education. With decades of experience, we strive to empower communities and support individuals in navigating tenant/landlord disputes and other challenges. Summary We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at CSA San Diego County. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support that enhances our operational efficiency and helps us fulfill our mission of community advocacy. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Provide written reports to city officials, invoices, and keep track of payments. Maintain accurate records and files for various programs and initiatives. Provide clerical support such as data entry, document preparation, and proofreading. Utilize QuickBooks for basic financial tracking and reporting as needed. Support staff with administrative tasks to enhance productivity. Develop a strong understanding of the agency's financial health (Balance Sheet, income statement, cash flows). Foster a welcoming environment for clients and visitors through excellent customer service. Requirements Must be proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace. Must have accounting and budgeting skills. Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred. Experience in nonprofits preferred. Experience with nonprofit grant budgeting is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus. Familiarity with office management practices and procedures is essential. Basic knowledge of QuickBooks. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment Education, Training, and Experience Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred One year full-time work experience involving administration, budgeting, and accounting Bilingual English/ Spanish capability is helpful.
