Chapter HR Committee Applications Due by: June 30th, 2026 Position Overview The Assistance League of Huntington Beach is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Office Assistant to support day-to-day operations and help advance our mission of transforming lives and strengthening our community through philanthropic programs. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and collaborative, with the ability to effectively support a dynamic, volunteer-driven organization. The Office Assistant will play a key role in communications, data management, and event support while working closely with board members, volunteers, and community partners. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Office Support Manage general office operations, including phone, email, mail, filing, and supply inventory Maintain organized digital and physical records Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information Calendar & Coordination Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and organizational events Assist with logistics for chapter activities and community outreach Database & Reporting Maintain accurate member and donor records in Bloomerang and League Link applications Generate reports, manage mailing lists, and track data using Bloomerang and Microsoft Excel Support data integrity and consistency across platforms Communications & Marketing Manage internal and external communications, including weekly and monthly eblasts Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook) to promote programs, events, and Thrift Shop activity Update and maintain website content, including news posts and member resources Ensure all published materials align with National Assistance League branding and communication guidelines Fundraising & Event Support Assist with fundraising initiatives, including donor tracking, invitation design, RSVP management, and acknowledgment letters Support philanthropic campaigns such as #GivingTuesday and other appeals Coordinate and distribute quarterly Community Impact Reports Board & Membership Support Provide administrative support for board meetings, including meeting notices, agendas, minutes, and reports Assist with annual membership processing and communications Support volunteer coordination, including scheduling and task management Design & Content Creation Design and produce materials such as invitations, reports, forms, signage, and promotional items using Canva Assist in the creation and publication of the Annual Report Program & Retail Support Create and manage sign-ups (e.g., SignUpGenius or League Link) for programs, Thrift Shop, and events Prepare printed materials (forms, tags, labels, signage) for programs and outreach efforts Support weekly Thrift Shop customer communications Culture & Collaboration Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for members and volunteers Serve as a helpful and responsive point of contact for internal and external stakeholders Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Experience with Canva and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) Experience with Bloomerang or similar CRM/database systems preferred Ability to edit and proofread content with a strong eye for detail Comfortable working in a collaborative, volunteer-driven environment Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities

$20.00•$30.00 per hour
