Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our team. In this vital role, you will coordinate service requests, dispatch technicians, and manage logistical operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Your proactive communication skills and technical knowledge will help optimize our transportation management systems and support our supply chain operations. Position Overview The Service Coordinator primary function is to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. You need to be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. Key Responsibilities Contact customers to ensure their required services are scheduled the month due and that all materials and equipment required are available. Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and then create a work order with detailed information and assign it to the appropriate technician. Schedule QT's within 24 hours when placed into ready to schedule status. Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions. Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance. Monitor the route and status of the technician to coordinate and prioritize their schedule. Provide technicians information about work orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements. Enter data in computer system and maintain detailed notes of calls, activities, and other pertinent information. Place TC's and QT's in a review status when complete. Assist with open jobs report when directed.
Other Job Functions:
Helps to maintain Service Department filing and records as needed. Open work orders at Management request. Assist with time cards when directed by service manager. Opens work orders when directed by the Service Manager for rental equipment and company vehicles. Other duties that may be assigned by Management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Service Coordinator or relevant position. Fast typing with experience with data entry. Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations. Proficient in English (oral and written) bilingual in Spanish a plus. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Active listener and excellent communication skills. Sound judgement and critical thinking. High school diploma or GED.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
