Job Description

Join our team and support the COO in keeping programs running smoothly for local youth. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County is seeking a detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive Administrative Program Support Specialist to provide high‑quality administrative support to our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and program operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting youth‑serving programs, and creating a welcoming environment for members, families, and visitors. Position Summary The Administrative Program Support Specialist provides direct administrative support to the COO and assists with coordination of daily program operations. This position helps ensure programs run efficiently by supporting scheduling, communication, documentation, and activity preparation. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer‑service‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced youth‑program environment. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the COO, including scheduling, communication, and coordination of program activities. Assist with preparing materials, sign‑in sheets, forms, and logistics needed for program services and activities. Support implementation of new and existing programs by completing assigned administrative tasks such as distributing information, preparing documents, and coordinating space and supplies. Take the lead in implementing specific program activities or routines with clear direction from the supervisor or designated program staff. Collect and relay attendance information, feedback, and observations to program staff to support planning and continuous improvement. Promote program participation by sharing information with members, families, and visitors. Maintain a welcoming, customer‑service‑oriented environment for all who enter the Club. Qualifications Experience in administrative support, customer service, or youth‑serving environments preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Comfortable using Google Suite, Word, Excel, and basic office technology Ability to work collaboratively with staff, youth, and families Must pass all pre‑employment screenings Why Join Our Team? From $22.45 per hour
