As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the school by handling a variety of administrative and office management duties. Working closely with the Office Manager and/or Program Director, you will help ensure that all administrative functions are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in a manner that supports staff, students, and families.   • High school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
  • Minimum 1yr prior experience working in an administrative support role, preferably in an education program setting.
  • Prior experience and/or highly proficient in reading, writing, analyzing and interpreting detailed reports and business correspondence.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in record keeping and/or data management including development and maintenance of databases and/or spreadsheets.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services, particularly for students with autism related disabilities and/or behavior challenges preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff members, students, parents, external partners and the general public.
  • Solid motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.
