This internship provides hands-on experience in technical writing, office administration, receptionist duties, and government research related to county, state, and federal Request for Proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate is organized, professional, dependable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Reception Duties Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and incoming calls Maintain a professional and organized front office environment Schedule appointments and assist with calendar coordination Perform clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry Support general office management and daily administrative operations Technical Writing & Proposal Support Assist with drafting, editing, formatting, and organizing technical documents and proposals Maintain proposal files and supporting documentation Help organize submission materials for contracts, grants, and RFP opportunities Proofread documents for grammar, formatting, and accuracy Research & RFP Coordination Conduct county, state, and federal research for Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities Track proposal deadlines and submission requirements Gather supporting information and organize research findings Assist management with compiling proposal materials and compliance documentation Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail Interest in technical writing, administration, business operations, or government contracting preferred Preferred Skills Experience with document formatting or proposal preparation Familiarity with online research and government websites Strong proofreading and editing skills Work Environment This is a fully onsite internship requiring attendance Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a professional office setting.
Pay:
$22.98 - $27.68 per hour
