Donor Services Coordinator-Per Diem

  • $75,961 United States, California, San Diego Jun 10, 2026 DESCRIPTION Under supervision, the Donor Services Coordinator (DSC) receives and triages all donor-related calls according to Lifesharing policy and tissue processors' criteria.
The DSC collects initial donor information from hospital partner staff and hospital electronic medical records for initial donor eligibility, documents information provided by referral source in electronic medical record, and communicates accurate referral information with the appropriate administrator on call, Lifesharing coordinator, and/or partner organization(s). Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation, chart corrections and completion, required departmental and organizational trainings, departmental process improvement projects, and donation outreach efforts as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from college with a major in an applicable natural science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years of applicable experience in the medical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to multi-task while collecting and processing a high volume of detailed, confidential and time-sensitive information. Demonstrated self-starter who is accountable and meticulous in details. Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, commitment to high standards, discriminating judgment and high level of ethics. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office. Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of organ and tissue donation policy and procedures. Previous experience working in organ or tissue donation or transplantation. Knowledge of current policies and directives related to organ and tissue donation. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Bilingual English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range:
$75,961
  • $75,961 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
