New Alternatives, Inc. is directing a certified outpatient behavioral health program, providing a full range of Title 9 outpatient diagnostic and treatment services for children, adolescents, and young adults (up to age 18). New Alternatives, Inc. is contracted with both the County of San Diego and San Marcos Unified School District to service youth in North County. Our focus is to provide school-based therapy to students who are uninsured, low income, or have full scope Medi-Cal with behavioral health needs. Also, providing outpatient services to children and youth in the community. NAI is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible team players who have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
SERVICES
We provide a variety of behavioral health services and supports to the youth and families we service which could include: screening, assessment; individual and family treatment; consultation schools, parents, caregivers, and other collaterals; maintaining a written record of treatment, including initial assessments and treatment plans; individual and family therapy.
Qualifications:
Education :
High school diploma required
- Able to work with multi-disciplinary team in a very diverse setting that serves people of all backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientation and willingness to learn more.
- Excellent phone etiquette, attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel applications, as well as internet research skills required
- Must be able to pass criminal/background clearance
- Bilingual Spanish is required for this position
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Agency guidelines regarding privacy and confidentiality
- Provide full-service clerical and reception duties including greeting visitors, answering phones and screening calls, taking messages, typing, filing, scheduling appointments, and performing data entry
- Assist with auditing medical records for adherence to billing requirements
- Reporting and tracking information for program management
- Greet all youth and families at clinic and on-phone with welcoming and nurturing approach
- Gather demographic and Medi-Cal information to verify eligibility
- Maintain organized tracking systems; provide reports to Program Director at established intervals or upon request
- Participate in trainings, exhibit competency and utilize culturally sensitive and Trauma-Informed Care practices in all engagements
- Support Program Director to ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively
- Work collaboratively with all other members
- Other duties as assigned by program director
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
