This is a hands-on role for someone who naturally loves organizing, creating order, and transforming chaotic spaces into calm, functional environments. The right candidate enjoys physical, active work and takes pride in the visible results of a beautifully organized space. Assistant Organizers support our Lead Organizers on client projects while learning the systems, standards, and methods that define the Truly Organized approach. Team members who demonstrate strong organizational instincts, reliability, and leadership potential may grow into expanded responsibilities over time. Duties Assist Lead Organizers with decluttering, sorting, labeling, and styling spaces Lift, carry, and move boxes, bins, and household items safely and efficiently Clear out and reset spaces such as garages, closets, pantries, and storage areas Run errands and assist with "gopher" tasks (product returns, donation drop-offs) Support clients during move-ins and unpacking projects Handle items with care and maintain client confidentiality Work efficiently and maintain a positive attitude through fast-paced projects Experience No prior professional organizing experience is required — but a genuine love of organizing and creating order is essential. We will train you in our systems and methods.

A natural inclination toward organization and tidy systems A strong work ethic and comfort with physical, hands-on work Reliability, punctuality, and a positive, can-do mindset The ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs and stand for extended periods Comfort working professionally in client homes Attention to detail and pride in producing beautiful results Interest in design, functionality, or space planning You might be a great fit if… You genuinely enjoy organizing spaces and systems Friends or family often ask you to help organize their homes You notice when things could be arranged more efficiently Finds satisfaction in details like labeling, categorizing, and styling

Flexible schedule Application Question(s): Organizing work can involve everything from moving boxes to labeling pantries. Why are you interested in working as an Assistant Organizer with Truly Organized and which part of the job do you think you'd enjoy most? Are you comfortable lifting up to 25-30 pounds and standing, bending, and moving for long periods during organizing projects? Do you have reliable transportation to and from client homes throughout the Santa Barbara area? Do you currently live in or near Santa Barbara, CA? This position begins as part-time and project-based, with scheduling determined by client projects. As our team grows, there may be opportunities for increased hours for the right candidate. Are you available for weekday work between 9 AM - 5 PM as needed?
