Job Description

Ward Clerk Join the Redwood Grove Post Acute Team! At Redwood Grove Post Acute, we are committed to enriching lives, and we are looking for dedicated professionals like you to help us achieve this mission. Ward Clerk is a vital role that requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. If you are passionate individual who is great at staying organized this may be the role for you. Responsibilities Maintain resident charts, records, and unit documentation in compliance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls appropriately Coordinate communication between nursing staff, physicians, therapy, pharmacy, laboratories, and other departments Process physician orders, admissions paperwork, and discharge documentation as directed Schedule appointments, transportation, and diagnostic services Assist with electronic medical records (EMR) data entry and updates Prepare reports, forms, census information, and other administrative documents Monitor and maintain unit supplies and office organization Welcome residents, families, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Support nursing leadership with clerical and administrative tasks Ensure accurate filing and timely completion of required documentation Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous clerical or administrative experience in healthcare preferred Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records systems Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan options Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and advancement
