$18.00 to $21.00/hour Maximum Range is provided as an example of the Wage/salary range for each position and its earning capacity given factors such as time in position, longevity with the company, education level, and performance experience. Newly entering employees should expect to enter at the minimum level.
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant performs clerical support, and other duties to support assigned Mission Services programs. Please note that this position has a 180 day introductory period.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Answers the phone, transfers calls to appropriate staff, and takes messages. Greets visitors upon entry, checks visitors in and out, and directs visitors to appropriate staff. Maintains participant files and files documents/forms in a timely manner according to program policies, ensures all required documents/forms are filed, and reports any file discrepancies to the Mission Services Manager. Provides administrative support including making copies, scanning, and preparing packets. Assists Mission Services staff with program support and assisting program participants as required. Assists with monitoring and providing support to Occupational Skills program participants. Enters program and participant data into required databases and provides program updates to Mission Services Supervisors and/or Managers. Assists with HR onboarding duties and follows HR directions regarding onboarding tasks. Participates in team meetings with internal staff and outside providers as appropriate and communicates individually with team members between meetings in order to coordinate. Adheres to program standards and outcomes as outlined in program policies/procedures, program contracts, and referral and accreditation agency standards. Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak/read/write proficient English; Bilingual skills preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask. Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Honesty, integrity, reliability, punctuality. Thorough knowledge about company's mission and services. Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines.
Required Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background. Individuals must have a valid driver's license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record. High School Diploma/GED and/or experience in office support. Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle. Background check.
Physical Requirements:
Free from drug and alcohol abuse.

Office. Office-site meeting locations. Equipment, machines and tools used: Computer. Printer Copy machine. Phone. As a Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties Office Staff member, this position requires an extended introductory period of one-hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of hire.
