Job Description

Position Overview Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated and organized Department Assistant to join a great company in San Diego. This position plays a critical role in supporting the department and its leadership team, ensuring efficient and smooth day-to-day operations. 3-4-month temporary role
Pay:
$32.95-$41.18 DOE M-F 8:00am-5:00pm Must be able to pass background requirements Onsite Responsibilities Provides administrative, clerical, and secretarial support to a department and its leadership team. Serves as a primary point of contact, handling communications, coordinating schedules, and supporting day-to-day operations. Prepares and proofreads correspondence, maintains records and filing systems, and ensures accurate and timely processing of reports and financial documents. Coordinates meetings, travel, and events; conducts data entry and basic research; and assists with departmental processes such as purchasing, reporting, and compliance activities. Maintains confidentiality, prioritizes multiple tasks, and collaborates effectively with staff, the public, and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Experience working for a public utility is helpful. Qualifications 2+ years of administrative experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office High school diploma or equivalent. Required Work Hours Monday - Friday, during first shift hours.
