Job Description

Schedule:
Full-Time Days (40 hrs/week) What You'll Do Scheduling Personnel support Freeman Health System patients and care teams by coordinating appointments, verifying and updating patient information, and ensuring accurate scheduling in accordance with departmental guidelines. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal departments, providing timely, courteous service while protecting patient privacy and supporting efficient clinic/hospital operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Ability to perform all responsibilities of the scheduler as needed to ensure continuous scheduling coverage. 1+ year of scheduling, administrative support, or clerical experience (healthcare or service operations preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn new systems quickly. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills and professional communication (phone, email, and in-person).
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in a hospital Procedural or Surgical Services, or Physician Office Scheduling. Experience using workforce scheduling and/or timekeeping systems (e.g., Workday or similar). Intermediate Excel skills (sorting/filtering, simple formulas, and reporting). Knowledge of staffing matrices.
