This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in providing exceptional administrative and customer service support. As the first point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and team members, you will play an important role in supporting daily operations while helping ensure compassionate care experiences for those we serve. Position Summary The Administrative Specialist (AS) provides clerical and administrative support to the hospice office while serving as the primary receptionist for visitors, employees, patients, caregivers, and referral partners. This position supports office operations, leadership, and the marketing team through organization, communication, scheduling, and coordination of administrative activities. What You'll Do Answer incoming calls professionally and assist callers as needed Serve as the front desk receptionist and greet all office visitors Support office operations by ordering supplies and coordinating vendor services Process incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and shipments Coordinate travel arrangements including hotel, rental car, and meal reservations Maintain office contact lists, phone directories, and resource information Assist with meetings, special events, conferences, and office projects Provide clerical and administrative support to leadership and the Marketing Department Order bereavement flowers/plants and assist with special acknowledgements Perform data entry and provide general computer support Maintain confidentiality while communicating effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and community partners Represent the agency with professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude Qualifications High School Diploma required; college coursework preferred Previous office or administrative experience preferred Healthcare or hospice/home health experience is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong computer, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Additional Requirements Reliable transportation Current driver's license and auto liability insurance Ability to work in an office environment with occasional schedule flexibility as needed Why Join Us?
